If you have entered marriage with a goal of both parties sharing and giving and contributing equally, prepare yourself for disappointment. There will always be seasons when one spouse doesn't do their part. If you respond to that by not doing your part (I'll show him!) then you are on your way to a troubled marriage.
Things will never be “equal” in marriage. Your goal should be to lay down your scorecard and strive to give generously to your spouse, regardless of what you get in return.
