About Dan and Joyce McKay

Dan and Joyce have been married for 44 years. They have four married children and nine grandchildren (all under the age of eight). For over 25 years, Joyce and Dan led marriage enrichment conferences for Lifeway. Dan has a doctorate in marriage and family counseling and after 38 years, recently left his position as Pastoral Care Minister at Salem Baptist Church to focus on “writing” and holding Joyce’s hand. Joyce, a former high school anatomy/physiology teacher and administrator for the state of Georgia’s (DOE) Virtual School, recently retired her “educator’s sash.”  Together they hope to finish out their life journey making a difference in couples’ lives. They remain passionate about helping couples have stronger marriages and both believe that God gave us humor to be a healing balm in our lives.
